Instruction

Instruction is provided individually to girls on regular ongoing basis, to teams on a scheduled basis and in communities through camps and clinics. Instruction includes:

  • Batting lessons including mechanics, mental preparation and situational hitting are taught to help girls develop more confidence and a faster more powerful swing at the plate
  • Advanced base running techniques including sliding without strawberries, dive backs, slide throughs and dive bys are taught to help softball teams really improve their short game and put more pressure on the defense
  • Sacrifice bunting, bunting for base hits and left handed slapping are taught to help teams/players learn how to really dominate the short game.

Camps

Throughout the year camps are conducted which offer the best training to girls of all ages and abilities using many regular Cross Training staff and very special guest instructors. Past instructors have included Marc Dagenais, Adrienne Cherry-Walker, Adrienne Clay, Brittany Krbec, Shawna Norris, Angel Parks, Chenita Rogers-Edwards and Bobby Simpson. If your park/association is interested in hosting a Cross Training camp please contact Coach Dalton at CoachDalton@CrossTrainingSoftball.com.
 

Visual Performance

Cross Training is pleased to offer as a service to students the very high tech Vizual Edge Performance Training solution. This software program is actively being used by such colleges as the University of TN who is currently ranked #1 in the country, Northwestern (who placed 2nd in the 2006 College World Series) and Alabama who is currently ranked #3 in the country.
