The Softball Clinic Cruise was aboard the gorgeous MSC Poesia. I got the privilege of speaking to about 65 girls from around the USA and Canada. We made good use of the ships many facilities. One day the ship gave us complete use of the upper deck sports court and we had a blast.
The gentleman to my immediate left in the blue shirt is Burkette Dorsette the President of the Bahamas Softball Federation. The gentlemen to his right is Godfrey Burnside and he was the former manager for the Bahamas Men's National Fastpitch team. I was delivering to them some equipment that was donated by many Cross Training families. "Pre-Dirt" shot of my first ever International Diving Clinic. If you are going to Get Dirty you might as well do it in Nassau, Bahamas. By the way, instead of washing that shirt I'm framing it to display. Best part of our clinic in the Bahamas was that it also included about 20 girls from 2 of their high schools and 1 of their college teams. Oh yeah, they Got Dirty too.
Here is a nice group shot of the whole lot of us from the cruise, as well as the Bahamian ball players. The lady on the far left is of course Monica Abbott. Signing autographs in the Disco bar. One of my favorite moments was late at night as the cruise was winding down. On our way out Monica Abbott grabbed Taylor's hand and they did some dancing. What a special opportunity of a lifetime for a young lady that I think the world of.
