Be sure to check out the newly added "recruiting" and information section. You will find media guides from colleges to inspire you and get you dreaming. A recruiting guide to give you tips on how to take the next step. You'll also find copies of Softball Magazine to read and enjoy. There are about 20 full new giant softballs to hold the names of hundreds of future great players, and plenty of bench seating for girls to wait on. The batters box was moved further from the parents so that we can focus more on the plate. And perhaps most importantly there is a completely second plate and batters box now just for the slappers I work with so that they don't feel like second class citizens any more.
I capture players names for "eternity" on my walls in permanent ink. But now I've got a 10' section of wall which has been completely converted to a chalkboard so that girls can "doodle" week to week. This picture is just dedicated to Coach Shannon Murray who dedicated her time to instructing and more importantly relating to and inspiring other young minds for the past 1 1/2 years. While we will miss her terribly throughout the year as she'll now be attending Lawrence University in Appleton Wisconsin. But we will all look forward to her coming back in the summers as an instructor at camps. This picture is just for my first State Champion player Ansley Koslowski and the mighty Buford Wolves.
Many of you know that the University of Arizona is my very/mostest favorite school. This shot is dedicated to the first player I've worked with who actually visited the school. (Yeppers besides the picture, I also have the t-shirt to prove she was there.) This shot depicts just some of the hardware that was accumulated by the very first team ever to totally epitimize my style of base running. The 2009 12U Buford Wild team lit up the bases in an aggressive, all out manner that totally intimidated other teams and attracted crowds. The results are only a fraction of the story, as each and everyone of them had to put in tons of hours GETTING DIRTY and flipping that important mental switch in their heads that they would run like the wind and risk making an out. They proved that you can go out and there and STEAL bases and turn games around.
